Question: P2P - Exports from the UK via Dover - Post Brexit
Exports from the UK - I understand that only the Permission to Proceed (P2P) message will be required when exporting RO/RO trucks from the UK (for example Dover). I understand no Export Departure Message (ie confirmation of export) will be received back from the HMRC CHIEF system when the truck has departed the UK. Question – how will exporters prove their goods have been exported from the UK without any Export Departure message.
Answer:
There will be the facility in CHIEF to make arrived declarations for goods leaving via RoRo ports such as Dover. The notification to HMRC that the goods have left will be deemed.
