Question:
For shellfish caught in EU waters and then landed directly in the EU by British fishing vessels, is there a requirement for an export entry or not? The UK guidance indicates not, but the EU seem to be asking for evidence of UK export. Any clarification would be massively appreciated.
Answer:
Thank you for your post.
To export fish from the UK to all countries (excluding Northern Ireland to the EU), you’ll need a catch certificate. You should check with the country you are exporting to for any further specific requirements. You can find further information about exporting fish from the UK here.
