An opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Engineer to work on site based in Liverpool. Following a programme of development through experience and training, you will ensure that civil engineering requirements are correctly interpreted from design and implemented on site.

What you’ll be doing day to day

* Surveying and setting out tasks using a variety of surveying equipment
* Document control and management of construction drawings.
* Active reporting of health, safety, environmental and quality concerns.
* Communication with site teams to ensure that all relevant information is passed on to trades.
* To support the Commercial/Construction teams with any issues that may arise.
* Update and maintain spreadsheets including cost reviews and programme updates
* Data review for problem indications
* Producing CAD drawing of survey and As Built data 
* Checking drawings and quantities and ensuring that the calculations are accurate for the work
* Communication with the public regarding upcoming or on going disruptive works.

The experience we’re looking for in a candidate

* B-Tec diploma in Construction/engineering or equivalent
* Full UK driving licence
* Working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
* An excellent communicator
* Be able to work in a strong team environment
* A practical approach to life with a desire to learn
* Ability to conduct yourself in a professional manner
