Role Purpose:

You will take responsibility for UK tax compliance matters including preparation and submission of UK tax returns, calculation of quarterly instalment payments, responsibility for reporting to group and wider tax compliance and advisory matters as detailed below.


Accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA or ACA), corporate tax (CTA) desirable.

Work Experience:

Qualified in practice (compliance background), first or second move into industry. Some advisory experience beneficial.

Language & Computer Skills:

English. Understanding of SAP & excellent using Alphatax

Main Areas of Responsibility:

1. You will be responsible for the preparation of the corporation tax computations and returns for UK entity submissions ensuring that all relief’s and allowances have been claimed (CFC, R&D and capital allowances) and that all tax liabilities have been minimised. You will provide strategic tax compliance support to the both the UK market and wider group, ensuring the timely and accurate submission of all internal reporting requirements. You will prepare CIR calculations. You will ensure other timely filings e CBCR, SAO, PSA, tax strategy and support and review TP documentation.

2. You will be responsible for the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting of tax charge with supporting tax packs for UK entities and statutory accounts.

3. You will responsible for the preparation of bi-annual forecast of current year tax charge & annual plan of future tax charge, with supporting tax packs for UK entities.

4. You will ensure correct and timely UK and Japanese CFC reporting.

5. You will assist in correspondence with UK HMRC, including treasury consents, residency certificates and enquiries. You will provide support to the business when engaging with HMRC as appropriate.

6. You will assist with JSOX compliance for UK. You will coordinate and execute JSOX controls where owner or CFO delegate.
You will maintain indirect tax manual and ensure it is reviewed and updated annually.
You will support wider teams with ad hoc advice e.g. employee taxes, PSA calculations.

7. You will assist the Tax Director in implementation of specific projects for UK, as well as ad-hoc cross border projects. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the UK market and the wider group to proactively provide advice and recommendations on a broad range of day to day activities and special projects, with the aim of minimising risk and where appropriate, maximising available tax benefits. This includes for example, ensuring any legislation amendments, case law developments and HMRC policy updates are communicated as appropriate
