Our client is in search of an Integrated Maintenance Facility Mechanical Supervisor to join their team. You will report directly to the Integrated Maintenance Facility Controller for the efficient and effective management of all Mechanical Bays Maintenance activities.
The Integrated Maintenance Facility Mechanical Supervisor main task is to ensure with the assets available that the contracted output is met.
Other tasks within the primary role could include but are not limited to:

Establishing a liaison with Engineering Logistics Portal at the company site to link in with the Maintenance plan.
Ensuring that all Mechanical maintenance tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner, on time and to the highest standard complying with all approved maintenance data
Checking that all equipment required for tasking is available and reporting all deficiencies
Ensuring all tool control procedures IAW the relevant Acceptable Means of Compliance are followed.
Monitoring the handling, distribution and satisfaction of engineering instructions (MODs, RTI’s, UTI’s STIs, SIs etc.) and their associated reporting procedures.
Review capability of the Integrated Maintenance Facility maintenance introducing additional components to the benefit of the organisation.
Carrying out additional duties as required by the IMF Controller.
Maintaining an effective changeover by debriefs or written log to provide a smooth transition and continuation of trade tasks between each shift (Where/when applicable)
Champion a culture of Near Miss and Error Reporting and take the lead for subsequent investigations
Maintaining a PEVL to demonstrate continuity of experience.
Maintaining engineering standards as detailed in MAOS MAI MRP PART 145 MAINTENANCE ORGANISATION EXPOSITION (MOE) & MRP 145 Approval Supporting Documents.
Maintain Environmental, Quality, Security and Health & Safety standards as defined by company policy
Conduct self in line with the companies set of principles.   
All staff are to ensure that they maintain the standard of security policies and procedures as stipulated within Station and Security Standing Orders.
Essential: -

Training in Mechanical discipline to City and Guilds Level or equivalent level 3 (completed an apprenticeship)
Knowledge of gas turbine theory
Practical experience of assemble/disassemble and fault diagnosis of engine components/APUs/GTS
Experience in a fitter position within a related engineering environment
Supervisors in Aviation or equivalent
Use a combination of general and specialist engineering knowledge and understanding to apply existing and emerging technology
Working knowledge and use of IT Operating Systems (MS Office Suite) and the Internet.
Security clearance to BPSS/CTC level Desirable: -

Propulsion/EFDC ‘Q’ courses or civilian equivalent
Full Driving License   

Knowledge of applicable legislation and Standards
Knowledge of auditing techniques: planning, conducting and reporting
Knowledge of human factors, human performance and limitations
Knowledge of logistics processes
Knowledge of organisation capabilities, privileges and limitations
Knowledge of Part-M, Part-145 and any other relevant regulations
Knowledge of relevant parts of the maintenance organisation exposition and procedures
Knowledge of occurrence reporting system and understanding of the importance of reporting occurrences, incorrect maintenance data and existing or potential defects
Knowledge of safety risks linked to the working environment
Knowledge on wiring and husbandry when relevant
Understanding of professional integrity, behaviour and attitude towards safety
Understanding of conditions for ensuring continuing airworthiness of aircraft and components
Understanding of his/her own human performance and limitations
Understanding of personnel authorisations and limitations
Understanding critical task
Ability to compile and control completed work cards
Ability to consider human performance and limitations
Ability to determine required qualifications for task performance
Ability to identify and rectify existing and potential unsafe conditions
Ability to manage third parties involved in maintenance activity
Ability to confirm proper accomplishment of maintenance tasks
Ability to identify and properly plan performance of critical task
Ability to prioritise tasks and report discrepancies
Ability to process the work requested by the operator
Ability to promote the safety and quality policy
Ability to properly process removed, uninstalled and rejected parts
Ability to properly records and sign for work accomplished
Ability to understand work orders, work cards and refer to and use applicable maintenance data
Ability to use information systems
Ability to use, control and be familiar with required tooling and/or equipment
Adequate communication and literacy skills
Resources management and production planning skills
Teamwork, decision-making and leadership skills
