Service Delivery Manager - Colchester

The Company

Our client is a leading technology-enabled outsourcing company supporting vehicle manufacturers around the world. Their teams provide industry leading expertise globally. They are currently looking for a talented service delivery manager to support them in the implementation of an ambitious productisation strategy.

The Role

As a Service Delivery Manager, you will report to the Senior Delivery Manager.

You will be responsible for:

- Service Desk Management - Managing the activities of the 2nd line application support
- Coaching and Mentoring - Desk support, training, management of staff rotas/holidays etc
- Major Incident Manager - for any global outage, following best practice.
- Incident Management - customers have minimum service interruption and support
- Problem management - Effective root cause analysis and elimination of recurring issues.
- Change Management Ownership
- Configuration management - Architect and creation of reliable database.
- Release Management - Effective forward schedule plan with standard changes
- Capacity Management - Infrastructure resources monitoring.
- Availability Management - Maintenance windows agreed with the business, key services

Key Skills & Attributes

- Experience of managing the performance of support staff / service desk & service transition.
- Experience of application, release management and technical change management
- Significant knowledge of end user delivery.
- Experience of managing in house teams to deliver high quality services and outcomes.
- Experience of building strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong customer focus.
- Good communication, negotiation skills, positive can do attitude & flexibility of approach.
- Degree, professional qualification or equivalent experience in an Information technology related subject and project management experience will be an advantage.
