SEND Teaching Assistants required ASAP
SEND School Primary based in Birmingham are looking to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team ASAP
The Role
The role is full-time (5 days per week) for the successful candidates
You will be supporting children with Special Educational Needs (Autism, Emotional Behaviour Difficulties, Learning Difficulties) in small groups and one to one.
The role will be to start ASAP with the opportunity for a long-term role for the right candidate
SEN Teaching Assistant / SEN TA / Special Needs TA / LSA / Learning Support Assistant
Supporting primary aged students with a range of additional needs including ASD and speech, language, and communication difficulties
Assisting the class teacher in duties such as preparing resources and managing pupil behaviour
Providing feedback on pupil progress
Role to start in ASAP
Daily rate from £55.00- £60.00 depending on experience weekly pay
The Candidate:
In order to be considered for this role, the SEN Teaching Assistant / SEN TA / Special Needs TA / LSA / Learning Support Assistant will need to meet the following criteria:
Will have UK classroom experience
Ideally have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (Autism, Emotional Behaviour Difficulties, Learning Difficulties)
PECS, MAKATON, TEAACH or TEAM TEACH would be an advantage.
Excel at building great relationships with pupils and staff
Have a current DBS on the update service
Have recent classroom experience in the UK (minimum 6 weeks essential)
Previous experience with SEN (SEMH, ASD, MLD, SLD, PMLD, complex needs) (desirable, but not essential)
Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills
Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
