The Education Specialists (TES) are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school based in the Stockport area. The school has an excellent reputation within the local authority and is 'Outstanding' in all areas.

We are seeking a school administrator to work in the pastoral office completing data input and managing attendance records. The role requires someone who has experience working in a school office environment and that has SIMS experience.

The duties of the school administrator will include:

* Monitoring pupils attendance and accurately recording data in SIMS

* Answering phone calls and taking accurate messages

* Providing a full range of administration skills including typing, copying, recording, filing and classification of materials using a computer to cover work.

* Using school systems to register detentions

* Organising and maintaining reports.

* Filing and fulfilling general school needs.

* Ensuring the smooth running of the office i.e; organising day-to-day activities, contributing to the planning and development of the support service, maintaining the required confidentiality of materials.

* Experience of SIMS is essential

The candidate must:

* Be professional well presented

* Be able to confidently use a computer and Microsoft programmes.

* Have previous experience working in a school.

This role commences on the 24th February 2020. The school will be seeking to make a permanent hire for this position. Candidates will be encouraged to apply.

The working hours for this role are Monday-Friday 8-4

Successful candidates will be required to hold,an enhanced DBS issued within 12 months and be subject to safeguarding and vetting checks.
