Product Support Engineer
To offer technical support, answer queries, prepare and deliver solutions to the external sales team and customers.
Be responsible for product selection, sizing and preparation of technical quotations and other associated sales documents. Investigation and preparation of costs sheets and associated technical documents for bids requiring modification to standard or bespoke products and engineered solutions.
Act as an interface between external sales teams / customers and other internal teams where necessary

To prepare technical quotations, datasheets, letters and other documents relating to the promotion of Customer requirements received direct from the prospect/customer or our External Sales Team.
Investigate costs and prepare cost sheets for modification to standard products or for bespoke products. From initial basic design (following existing formats), sourcing materials (internal system or external quotation) and final bid to client.
Respond to general and technical enquiries, to include filter cross referencing (learn competitor products), estimating and product sizing
Advise clients on product choice and introduce new products
Contribute to design ideas by consulting with the sales team and clients
Develop and maintain effective relationships with the supported accounts
To be proactive in customer communication using the CRM system
To follow up quotations and other enquiries effectively and on time, when requested
To maintain customer record cards using the system provided.
To work effectively with the External Sales and Customer Service Teams
Facilitate discussions between customers, external sales and non-customer facing internal teams in order to effectively handover received orders to the relevant departments
Assist with customer concerns and progress through to the relevant department in order to achieve a resolution

Essential: SKILLS
A degree or HNC preferably in Science or Engineering
Mechanical engineering bias
Experience of cost estimation & technical quotation
Computer literate
Experience in working in a customer facing environment
Commercially aware
Good level of numeracy
Prioritising & scheduling skills

Pressure vessel knowledge with good understanding of industry codes and standards
Filtration experience
Process industry background
Experience of a Sales Office Environment in any industry
