Do you have experience in new product development? Have you been actively involved in sourcing / buying within either apparel, garments, toys or homeware? Are you ready for a new challenge right now??

About You

* You'll have worked in a similar role and ideally in the textiles industry

* Due to the level of this role you'll probably have around 2 years experience from leaving education - this is not a senior role

* You're a real team player; you love working as part of a vibrant team and will excel when put under-pressure

* It's essential that you've previously been involved in new product development - whatever the product; we're looking for someone with ideas and creativity and who's not afraid to speak up

* Naturally you'll have a keen eye for detail and be able to spot flaws in samples of products and packaging

* You must have experience of critical path and intake sheets

* You will have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

* You must have the passion and drive to succeed in this role

About the Job

* This is a massive opportunity for the right person

* You'll be a key member of a close-knit support team, working closely with Buyers to ensure that customers receive the highest quality products

* You'll have extensive involvement in product development - design, artwork, packaging etc.

* Daily duties will include: ordering and management of samples, gold & red seal aprovals, photographing products and uploading to the website, writing product specifications, new product development and critical path management

* Extensive use of MS Excel for reporting and analysis

* You will be able to create PowerPoint presentations to be presented by the Buyers at meetings

* You'll attend meetings both on and off-site therefore you must have your own transport

* You'll join as an Buying Assistant and experience in a similar role is essential
