Job Role: Production & Demand Planning Manager
Salary: £45-50k

An exciting opportunity to join a large and well known FMCG business in the Cambridgeshire area. This really is a well structured and well respected employer who engages with its people and offers stretching opportunities to only the best. A new opportunity has arisen in their planning function for a candidate who has FMCG analytical and planning experience and aspirations to work for a growing organisation.


To manage a team which has responsibility for planning across production and demand within their supply chain. The team accurately forecast and effectively manage the future demand profile. The manager is responsible for the demand planning aspects of the Sales & Operations Planning process, including building the demand forecast and providing challenge to ensure the forecast is robust. They also interpret the numbers and providing insight to the business to enable effective decision making. From a production perspective there are 2 production planners reporting in who work closely with the operational teams to schedule operation activity, raw material availability and call off.

What we are looking for:

-Experience within the FMCG sectors and planning roles across production and demand.
-A proven track record in using analysis and data to present risks and opportunities.
-Excellent communication skills at all levels and across all functions; you'll need to be able to demonstrate you can build relationships and work together quickly and effectively.
-Commercial awareness coupled with good reasoning and analytical skills.
-Ability to work proactively with minimal direct guidance; you'll be comfortable making your own decisions quickly within a framework.
-Ability to influence outside of immediate sphere of control; success in this job relies on your ability to persuade others to take action.
-A Continuos Improvement mentality
