As one of the UK's largest multi-disciplinary our client work with Public & Private Sector organisations to Deliver Infrastructure projects on a local, national and international scale. They are currently looking for a CAD Technician who is competent in using Bentley Microstation to help in the delivery of several high profile projects in the Rail Sector such as HS2 and TRU amongst others

Roles/Responsibilities

You will be working in multi-disciplinary teams, some of your roles and responsibilities will include:
Preparation of project design drawings
Coordinate with internal & external team members / design teams to assist in the Design process, providing independent checking & review services where required.
Liaise with colleagues, other departments and project teams with respect to drawing requirements
Provide the Project Engineering Team with CAD & Design support throughout the project.
Ensure that drawings are prepared, stored, issued and archived in accordance with company procedures
Ensure that chargeable work can be evaluated by the preparation of adequate records of time spent
Train other staff members on the use of MicroStation by means of individual coaching group training courses as appropriate
Assist, when required, with storage, filing and archiving of documents
Becoming familiar and compliant with Health, Safety and Wellbeing policies and to promote SHEW culture within your team
Essential Qualifications & Skills

Substantial experience in being a CAD Technician
Competent in the use Bentley MicroStation (2D/3D) and ProjectWise
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team comprising planners, designers, engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance to less experienced members of the team.
Able to manage your own time to meet project deadlines and budget targets.
Ability to respond to Project Manager and Client requests and meet challenging deadlines.
Eligible to work in the UK with a valid work permit if applicable
Technician experience within the Rail sector
Competent in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
