£50,000-£55,000 + benefits

As an active developer and construction company, my client has a successful track record throughout London and the South-East across the following areas:

* Development

* Construction

* Cladding

My clients specialist cladding division are experts in:

* Recladding

* Residential & commercial buildings

* Compliance with changing needs and regulations

They are now looking to add to their Cladding Division by bringing in an experienced Estimator with a demonstratable background within full external envelope systems.


* Office based role preparing commercial proposals for bidding/tender projects.

* Providing technical advice and costs for various projects within defined timescales.

* Handling enquires, redesigning or modifying technical drawings and producing reports explaining deviations and modifications from originals for sales team, clients and/or architects.

* Analysing data, monitor budgets and prices using company software packages.

* Optimising the technical proposal to be a competitive cost to client.

* Outsourcing and finding machinery costs and providing cost breakdowns for materials to the relevant internal teams.

* Analysing information and translating it into other formats for the purpose of a tender/bid.


* Relevant experience of working in Construction industry in a similar role (e.g. facades and cladding - experience of the curtain walling industry would be desirable).

* Proven track record and capability in delivering successful bids on small variations through to multi-million-pound solutions.

* Ability to handle a number of projects at once, prioritising workload as required and working in a pressurised environment.

* Ability to identify labour, equipment, material and time requirements for various project cost elements.

* Excellent communication skills, with in depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation processes/systems.

* Ideally a degree or equivalent, in Construction, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
