Executive Head Chef –Pimlico– Foodie Education Caterer - £40,000-£43,000 - Mon-Fri

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Head Chef for an Education Contract Caterer in Pimlico.
 
About the role….
Working with a caterer who are all about quality – they run a restaurant style operation within their schools with all items being made on site 100% from fresh ingredients.
 
You will be working alongside the central development team and have a real say in what goes on the core menu. The central team actively encourage ideas from the Exec Chefs to roll out across the sites.
 
You will have the opportunity to run your own “specials” alongside the core menu to keep your creative juices flowing.

This role involves over seeing three schools within the Pimlico area, two of which are fed out of one kitchen with one primary school having a seperate kitchen. 

You will be responsible for the smooth running and catering operations accross the three schools with support from a second in command and a team of skilled general assistants.

The Ideal Executive Head Chef would possess the following skills and attributes…

Strong craft skills
The ability to plan, prepare, cook and present the menu to the high standard set by the company and expected every service by the client.
Be able to manage, motivate, train and develop your team
Basic computer skills required for inputting stocks, ordering and weekly bookwork
The ability to ensure the kitchen is fully compliant with all Health and Safety and Food Hygiene legislation and company policies/procedures.
Excellent working knowledge of food trends, passionate about quality and seasonal produce. 
Due to the nature of the business all candidates will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
 
All candidates must be eligible to work in the UK at time of application
