Excellent Secondary School seeking Drama Teacher for full time contract from April for long term cover until the end of July

Pay: £120 - £180 per day

Location: Southampton

Supply Desk Southampton are looking to recruit an excellent Drama teacher for a highly successful secondary school based in Southampton that would be teaching Drama across KS3, KS4. The school are looking for the successful Drama teacher to start from April and this will be a long term contract until the end of July. The School can be flexible to your availability for a part time or full time role for 3 - 5 days a week. The School has a excellent department that you will be joining that will offer great support when needed. 

Your role as a Secondary Drama teacher would be providing excellent Drama lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and 4. The School are ideally looking for an experienced Drama teacher to help support the department but will also strongly consider NQT's for this role. You will need excellent classroom management skills and a thorough knowledge of the current National Curriculum. You will encourage positive pupil development and monitor pupil’s progression.

The School is based in Southampton and is conveniently located to the M27 with easy access for those travelling from Winchester, Basingstoke, Andover, and Portsmouth. The School was rated as a Good School by OFSTED and has excellent recent results with students making  year-on-year progress rates at GCSE being consistently above the national averages. This is an exciting opportunity for a Drama teacher to work in one of the most successful schools in Hampshire that comes with a excellent reputation to work in. 

What you’ll need to succeed

Experience teaching Drama in a secondary school
Energetic and positive attitude
EWC registration or willing to apply
Current DBS registered on the update system or willing to apply
