Estates Supervisor

Circa. 35,000 (Negotiable with experience)

Reporting to the Estates Manager, the Estates Supervisor manages the city’s maintenance team in providing reactive and planned maintenance services, to deliver an exceptional service to our customers. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong leadership and staff management in addition to a good understanding of all Maintenance/Hard Services matters, but don’t necessarily have to come from a trades background.

Key Requirements

* Supervise the completion of all required planned maintenance activity, inspections and certification

* Manage the Estates team across several properties, to include:

* Managing performance effectively, and ensuring management processes are executed appropriately to achieve resolution

* Providing a warm, flexible and bespoke service experience for our customers

* Deliver the Inspect and Maintain Process, and support, check in by ensuring maintenance teams are available and present on all check in days, to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded

* Allocating and monitoring quality of works

* Driving efficiencies in the maintenance of reactive and planned business, for example productivity and cost controls

* Attending meetings with the Estates Manager and Operations Manager, working effectively with core support functions, developing trusting and effective working relationships

* Supporting a collegiate team environment, providing support to colleagues and other teams and cities


* Responding and attending to maintenance and Health and Safety related calls within the required service level agreements

* Identifying and ensuring the rectification of a wide range of faults, defects, both domestic and commercial

* Scheduling teams working activities

* Accountability for ensuring team members undertake trade based activities to the correct standards

* Ensuring plant room checks are conducted by the team and conduct weekly tool box talks with direct reports

* Ensuring safe isolation of all systems, both mechanical and electrical, prior to work are conducted in accordance with uS procedures

* Responding and attending to maintenance and H&S related calls within the required SLA, correctly recording all maintenance issues found

* Provide a warm, flexible and bespoke service experience for our customers

* Using a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to manage tasks and log work

* Completing all paperwork required for property files and ensuring all records of site operation are accurate, structured and compliant

* Fulfilling the varied administration and auditing requirements, including: maintenance audits, Health and Safety audits, Control of Hazardous Substances requirements

* Demonstrating a flexible approach to work and a willingness to undertake all reasonable duties at the request of the managers
