A main focus of your role will be to effectively contribute to the Customer Service Department ensuring clear communication lines are kept both internally with key personnel and externally with our customer base.

The post holder is responsible for monitoring, recording and challenging customer returns; supporting the Sales Team with customer queries; and to assist with the day to day customer enquiries, working on behalf of our customers to help resolve outstanding disputes.

Main responsibilities of the role will include;

To ensure that all customers adhere to the credit note process and to follow this through to the final point prior to a credit note being raised. You will be required to challenge customers who try to adopt a sale or return mentality. Investigate internally where the credit, if applicable, was created. To produce weekly KPI by departments on credit notes and causes thereof. Investigate trends across departments providing key management information.
To support the transport department when we encounter late deliveries by informing our customers affected by delays to their agreed delivery window. Liaising with the Transport Manager and our customers in the event of any accidents or breakdowns.
To ensure that all new customers receive constant communication within the first 4 weeks of trading and to be proactive with problem solving through the early period.
To process the daily issues, report for presentation at the daily Ops meeting. To follow up and conclude on any outstanding issues in a structured manner. Produce KPIs by departments on the cause of any justified complaints. To liaise with the Sales Team regarding issues to the key accounts.
To deal with day to day customer queries and respond back to them within a timely manner.Customer Service | Customer Support | Customer Advisor | Customer Service Assistant | Reporting | Communication | KPIs | Complaints Handling | Team Player | FMCG | Negotiation | Presentation

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role you will need to have experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate good numeracy and literacy as well as being able to work individually and as part of a team. This is a fast-paced environment, so you will need to think on your feet and be able to work to tight deadlines.

Desirable Skills

Report writing experience including the production of KPIs
Strong negotiation skills
Focussed individual with good concentration and listening skills
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Team contribution and motivational skills
Knowledge of fresh meat, packaging and specifications
