A well respected Engineering organisation is currently experiencing an ongoing period of growth and success. Due to an ever increasing workload, they are currently looking to recruit a Construction Project Manager to join their dedicated team of professionals.

The role is based in the Preston area and is for an initial 12 month duration. There is a rate of £33LTD Per Hour on offer for the successful candidate. Please find the description below:

Would you like to strengthen the existing Investments Projects (Construction Projects) Team; we currently have a vacancy for a Works Service Engineer.

As a Works Service Engineer you would be responsible for the coordination of the design, construction planning and implementation of a wide range of facilities and estates projects across sites. These projects could include; key infrastructure upgrades, utilities installation & removal, building refurbishments, new facilities and office accommodation upgrades.

This role offers a variety of work across all aspects of running a Manufacturing environment and large secure industrial site, expanding your knowledge and experience. This role will involve travel within the UK and overseas for the delivery of the either the design or construction phases.

Additional Information
Essential:
Degree or HND/C qualified in Construction and/or Building Services is required, however other similar disciplines will be considered.
Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in managing Health & Safety (e.g. NEBSOH General Certificate, IOSH)
Knowledge of Construction and/or Plant & Equipment project installations
Proven experience of managing contractors on major construction projects in full compliance with the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015
Good supplier management and communication skills

Desirable:
Previous experience in the Design Management of Construction activities
Previous experience in Construction Management
Project Management qualifications and demonstrable experience

Responsibilities
Liaising with both internal and external customer, engineering professionals, subject matter experts and professional consultancy support teams.

Interpreting the customer requirements, leading to the preparation of designs, implementing plans, specification approvals and financial business cases

Co-ordinating with professional consultant teams and/or Construction contractors in respect of the development of defined facilities including the incorporation of plant & equipment, development of infrastructure, utilities, new buildings, site rationalisation work and major maintenance.

Responsible for all project design phases following the RIBA Stages

Responsibile for all installations in accordance with the current company, statutory health & safety legislation, Building control and CDM regs.

Managing a range of suppliers in accordance with supplier management procedures to maximise the output, achieve customer satisfaction and ensure best value for the business

Ensuring that all projects are delivered in accordance with company and departmental quality procedures

Providing budgetary and financial management justifications
