Position - Children's Support Worker - full and part-time, Days and Nights

Location - Blandford Forum

Salary - £18,564 to £20,158 p.a. Remuneration will be pro-rata for part time

Hours - Full and part-time positions available with hours worked on a rolling rota, typically 8 hours long

About the company - This school is owned by a care company with a nationwide portfolio of Department for Education (DfE) registered special schools that specialise in Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger Syndrome and Social, Emotional Mental Health (SEMH).

About the service - This school located in the glorious countryside of Dorset. It is both a residential and a day school offering both 38 and 52 week placements. The children and young people have full access to the national curriculum and are taught in a way that is differentiated appropriately to the individual. Homes are located both on and off site and in the class room, the sizes are such that the student ratio is 2 students to one teacher/teaching assistant. Keeping the classes small ensures intensive individual support.

Type of person required - Due to the location, the ideal candidates will be drivers with a caring, patient nature with maturity. You need to be willing to deal with challenging behaviour having received full training.

Qualifications required - none required just a passion to give high quality of care to vulnerable children and young people and perhaps some kind of experience although this is not essential

Benefits -Your first 3 weeks in the role will consist of 45 hours' worth of job shadowing, MAPA and Autism training. You will be fully funded through your Diploma Level 3 in Childcare and have the chance to progress your career up through the ranks.
