Bank Domestic Assistant

Montague Road Nursing Home, Felixstowe

£8.21 to £8.64 per hour (dependent on qualifications)

We are seeking a Bank Domestic Assistant to provide a high quality domestic service to our residents. Montague Road Nursing Home was rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC in 2019 and was winner of the ‘Excellent Support Services’ category at the 2019 Suffolk Care Awards. Montague Road supports 24 people with mental health needs and/or dementia in a homely environment with personalised care and support. Are you kind, patient and understanding? The role of Bank Domestic Assistant will include:

* Providing a personalised cleaning service to customers, fulfilling housekeeping and domestic tasks to meet with customer needs

* Ensuring a clean, comfortable and safe environment is maintained in the communal and service areas

* Having responsibility for the daily use of housekeeping equipment

* Monitoring of stock levels and reordering of supplies

Skills and experiences:

* Experience of undertaking general housekeeping or domestic duties would be desirable, but not essential

* Experience in understanding verbal and written instructions and undertaking requested duties

* NVQ2 in Hospitality and Catering, or willing to work towards

* An approachable, caring and compassionate attitude is essential

* Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude

* The ability to demonstrate a competent level of numeracy and literacy
