AJ Chambers are currently working with a Top 10 Accountancy Practice in the Birmingham area who are looking for an experienced and qualified Audit Director to join their already thriving team.

Responsibilities:

* Managing and developing a team of 3-5 individuals with varying degrees of experience.

* Planning, supervising, directing, time- controlling and reviewing accountancy/audit work, and appraising performances.

* Summarising review issues, making recommendations and reporting to partners.

* Liaising and meeting with clients in relation to audit planning, progress and conclusion. Making pro-active recommendations where relevant.

* Assessing tax treatments to ensure tax efficiency. Supervising and filing tax returns.

* Providing proactive advice as to technical aspects and solutions to accounting, financial reporting and tax computation.

* Assessing performance of audit staff allocated for review and mentoring every six months.

Requirements:

* ACA/ACCA Qualified

* Experienced Director or Senior

* Accountancy Practice experience

* Experience of reviewing and managing others work
