2nd Line Support Technician
We have a fantastic opportunity for a 2nd Line Support Technician with a minimum of two years’ experience in a second line support role to join a vibrant team to deliver first class support across the group. The 2nd Line Support Technician will have the latest Microsoft Windows Server, MS Office and Desktop environment experience.
Duties you will carry out are:
* Microsoft Word template updates, including VBA changes and development.
* Helpdesk backup for first line support person.
* Helpdesk support escalations and first line holiday cover.
* New user on boarding and off boarding procedures.
* Microsoft Active Directory group policy configuration and deployment.
* IT Inductions and training for new employees.
* Key software deployment.
* Application updates on key software.
* Desktop support.
* Desktop / Office relocations.
* EncryptionAnti-Virus management and deployment.
* Hardware testing and deployment.
* Software management and deployment
* Client liaison.
Ideally you will have the following skills:
* Good communications skills with a clear telephone voice.
* A minimum of two years’ experience in a second line support role.
* Latest Microsoft Windows Server and Windows Desktop environments.
* Latest Microsoft Office experience.
* Citrix XenApp knowledge would be advantageous.
* The ability to work on their own initiative and be flexible.
* To be able to work efficiently and accurately as part of a team.
BENEFITS AND EMPLOYMENT DETAILS
Full time role – Monday to Friday
Remuneration will be dependent on experience.
The package will include:
* Auto Enrolment Pension Scheme (Employer: 5%; Employee: 3%) subject to eligibility.
* Annual Christmas Bonus equivalent to 1 week’s salary.
* Private Medical Insurance following completion of 3 months service (this is a taxable benefit).
* Death in Service scheme cover (4x salary).
* Group Income Protection Scheme (non-contributory) following completion of 3 months service.
* Annual Leave will be 23 days per annum (pro rata). 3 days are normally taken at Christmas/New Year
