Job Description: Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a well-motivated and enthusiastic Vetting Partner to join our Enabling Services, People Security Team. This role plays a critical part of the overall security function within Roke.

The holder of the role provide a first line support service to colleagues and managers and will liaise with external agencies in the provision of Security Clearances, with adhoc travel to external parties who manage areas of the external process.

This role will be reporting to the Vetting Manager and will deputise for them when required.

What will your role look like?
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
To Process in house screening of BPSS, new applications, transfers, extensions and renewal of higher level clearance
To attend internal and external stakeholder meetings & produce management information on activities as required
To be responsible for in–house training arising with new staff or Vetting systems
Ensure all documentation is stored securely and held within accordance of the Data Protection Act.
Providing support and advice to the business with guidance from the Vetting Manager and Security Controller when necessary
Observance of the Official Secrets ActWhat are we looking for from you?

Understanding of DPA Acts
Must be able to act in the strictest confidence when dealing with Secure Vetting
Attention to detail is paramount
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
An ability to challenge and negotiate when confronted with problematic situations
An ability to work under time constraints
You will ideally have previous expertise within a Personnel Security Vetting Role, experience within a public sector security with knowledge of the UK vetting process would be a distinct advantage for this role.What can we offer you?
