Job Description: SEN Teacher -School for Deaf Children - BSL - Birmingham

Are you an experienced SEN teacher with BSL qualification looking for your next teaching post?

I am currently recruiting for a Special Educational Needs School based in Birmingham that are seeking to appoint an experienced SEN teacher for their school. The post is initially a temporary position with a view to going permanent for the right person.

As a specialist SEN teacher you will be involved in the marking and planning of lessons. Class sizes may vary from day to day but are typically small groups so marking is significantly lower than in a mainstream schools. All classes have 2 or 3 teaching assistants also so there is plenty of support available to you.

The school is for deaf children so you will need a BSL level 2 or above qualification.
Although the school is very large it is a very close knit community and everyone helps to support one another to ensure pupils thrive. The school have some of the best equipment for their pupils.

The successful teacher will be driven and motivated and will genuinely want to make a difference. You will be part of the school with an OFSTED rating of "GOOD" and they are keen to maintain that score and push for the school to be the best it can be.

One of our teachers placed at this school has said "What a lovely school and what lovely facilities. I've always felt nervous when starting a new positions as you always worry if you will integrate into a new team. Everyone at this school have made me feel so welcomed. Its a real warm family environment and everyone really gets on."

I am really happy to be working with this school as they really care about their students and staff. It is a very large school and they have so many facilities for their pupils. There are many TAs and support staff employed in the school and everyone has a really good work ethic and are all keen to help you.

I am very keen to speak with teachers who are perfect for this position. To find out more about myself and Aspire People please head over to our website (url removed)
