Job Description: Quality Assurance Manager (Social Work)

Pay: £360 a day umbrella

Hours: 37 hour week

Duration: 3 month initially

Sector: Public

Scope: Inside IR-35

*Must HCPC registered*

My Local Authority client are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager who has audited practice in children’s services practice, pre-inspection experience and who can support developing plans around identified need from audit work to support action planning.

Duties:

* To actively promote effective assessment, care planning, intervention and review for adults and children in need of care and support which is compliant with legislation, statutory guidance, professional conduct and current best practice.

* Support and promote a best practice first culture within the directorate and raise expectations across the workforce that work will be of the highest standard.

* Keep adults, children, young people and families at the heart of the work of the directorate by developing user feedback processes and to ensuring that outcomes from this process are incorporated into service developments and processes.

* In partnership with team managers, monitor and manage the performance and development of social workers, social work assistants and support workers within the service.

* Undertake rigorous quality assurance audits in teams and service areas to identify good practice and areas which need improvement.

* Make recommendations for improvements in practice and work with team managers to deliver the recommendations

* Work with team managers to disseminate good practice across the workforce

* To have expert knowledge and understanding on social care matters
