Job Description: JOB TITLE: Part Time Learning and Development Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Head of Learning and Professional Development

JOB PURPOSE: Coordinate the delivery of, and support management in, a variety of training programmes, projects and events for researchers in universities and research institutes, in the UK and internationally.

Provide proactive administrative support to all staff and business units as required.

SALARY: £18k-£25k pro rata per annum

Start date: ASAP This is a part-time position, circa 20 hours per week.

Main duties:

Coordinate, support and deliver online and face-to-face training programmes, projects and events to an agreed quality, time and budget.
Coordinate the delivery of online and face-to-face training programmes, projects, meetings and events, including managing travel, logistics, accommodation and courier bookings; briefing clients, trainers and staff; and preparing and packing training materials.
Maintain, monitor and add content to the websites, as required.
Provide ongoing coordination, administration and other hands on logistical support for a range of projects and other services, including as a first point of contact for external queries.
Support and assist project managers and the senior management team to meet objectives, including maintaining project risk registers, producing contracts (using existing templates), financial monitoring, using and updating the CRM system, and reporting.
Support business and relationship development through generating and maintaining sub-contracts, providing respectful and caring customer service, and liaising and negotiating with internal and external colleagues/clients with a professional and helpful manner.
Coordinate and support stock management and distribution of publications and resources for training workshops, events, meetings and projects.
Maintain calendar of training events
Attend offsite training events and meetings where necessary.

Knowledge and Experience

Coordination of training activities, events, meetings and logistics
Provision of excellent customer service and administrative support
Supporting several concurrent projects
Effective use of IT, CRM, booking systems, and social media
Basic evaluation and report writing
Competent in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point and web-editing software
Understanding of Survey Platforms or willingness to learn Desirable:
Experience of higher education or other non-profit environments
Understanding of the needs of researchers in universities and research institutes

Skills, the ability to:

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent coordination and administrative skills
Ability to prioritise and oversee coordination of various projects
Ability to liaise with external contractors, consultants as well as internal staff
Excellent attention to detail and delivery within project timeframes
