£60,000-£80,000 DOE
Currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Nuclear Main Contractor for a Principal HVAC Engineer to work on the Hinkley Point C Project, to be based in Bristol.
In this particular role you will be working as part of the MEH Alliance on HPC and supporting the HVAC team currently based in Bristol. The MEH Alliance is made up of a multi-disciplined engineering team supporting the detailed, execution designs and the construction of HPC 3.
The Role
As a key member of the Nuclear Engineering team you will be responsible for;
The management of the designs from initial conceptual through to execution design, including developing calculations, documents and drawings and developing studies and technical specifications
Assisting in the development of key staff including the coaching and mentoring of Discipline Technician Trainees and Graduates
Participating in design reviews associated with construction, CDM requirements, commissioning and operation
The use of design software such as PDMS, AutoCAD & NavisWorks
Construction, commissioning and handover of HVAC systems
The Person
Ideally you'll have at least 10 years' experience in a Nuclear or a related safety critical field (Pharmaceutical / Oil and Gas etc)
Degree or HND in HVAC or Mechanical Engineering
Chartered status (or working towards) and membership of CIBSE or IMechE would be advantageous
Strong communication skills
Confident in your delivery of team objectives and business goals / plans by providing support, encouragement and clear direction to others
Knowledge of design software such as PDMS, AutoCAD & NavisWorks would be an advantage
Demonstrable experience of working in a live site environment
