Amber Mace are currently looking for an Occupational Therapist to work within a small service that is dedicated to providing care for people living with enduring mental health.
The Occupational Therapist will provide professional therapy to the service users of the service, providing functional assessments, reviewing and assessing service users to enhance their ability to live independently.

Requirements for the Occupational Therapist:

• Work alongside nurses, support works, activities co-ordinators, clinical psychologists and consultant psychiatrists
• Provide the highest standard of advice and guidance
• Undertake therapy assessments to a high standard
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records and provide activity/audit reports as required
• Co-ordinate and assess patients' OT needs: planning, implementing and evaluation
• Assess and provide equipment to aid rehabilitation and improve quality of life
• Promote independence, providing constructive therapies in accordance to the individual's requirements

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:

• HCPC Registered
• Occupational Therapy (Dip. COT Bsc OT) qualification
• 2 Years' experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Knowledge and experience of risk assessment
• Knowledge of the Care Programme Approach
