Job Description: Marketing Officer - Darlington - 2 Month Contract - £16.26 per hour umbrella

Our client is a large public sector organisation who requires an experienced Marketing Officer to implement a comprehensive marketing and communications plan, aligned to the corporate Communications Strategy, to ensure that their key messages reach their target audience.

Responsibilities:

To evaluate and report on the effectiveness of the marketing plan.
To initiate, deliver and monitor integrated marketing communications campaigns and activities to enhance their reputation among key target groups.
To support the Communications Team in maintaining their corporate social media channels and contributing to production of their magazine.
To be an initial point of contact for public enquiries received via social media, responding and forwarding as appropriate.
To provide marketing, social media and public relations support and advice to service departments, members and senior colleagues.
To anticipate sensitive or potentially damaging issues and manage their communication through a variety of media.
To undertake audits and surveys to assess the effectiveness of marketing and communications techniques.
Requirements:

Experience of designing, planning and delivering marketing campaigns.
Experience of dealing confidently and effectively with media inquiries.
Knowledge of e communications, design, print and photography.
