Job Description: Manufacturing Manager

Background;

This Manufacturing Manager's position is with an award-winning, market leading manufacturer that has experienced significant growth recently. Alongside the opportunity to be a part of this organisation, this role offers a structured career path that will allow you to progress through the business and they are offering a highly attractive remuneration package including a starting salary of £60,000 pa, 10% annual bonus, flexible working hours and 25 days plus stats holiday entitlement.

As the Manufacturing Manager you will be responsible for ensuring each department along the production line manage to their individual times and that all deviations from standard are dealt with immediately in a professional manner. The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for ensuring the department are working to standard operations, standard times and you will be challenged to suggest and demonstrate key improvements to the standard processes.

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Manager;

- Motivate, manage and develop your supervisors and operations team.
- Execute your production plan On Time to Standard
- Continually drive Continuous Improvement in your designated area, relaying back improvement suggestions to your technical team colleagues.
- Champion safety and quality
- Liaise with senior management on a regular basis

Requirements to be successful as the Manufacturing Manager;

- Proven work experience as either a Production Manager or Manufacturing Manager of a large and diverse skill set team.
- Demonstrable experience of working in a flow manufacturing, low capital, manually intensive environment
- Maintaining a KPI set and running SIM processes
- A strong understanding of quality, health & safety, productivity and inventory processes
- A man manager that drives production at all times
- Behavioural Safety Champion
- Computer literacy - Microsoft office applications and Navisworks

Qualifications & Accreditations required from the Manufacturing Manager;

- Degree educated in an engineering or manufacturing discipline
- A team management qualification e.g. ILM level 2/3
