Are you a strong organiser of people, competent in counterbalance forklift operations and have a good understanding of yard/logistics or manufacturing environments? If so this high growth leading construction manufacturing organisation can offer you a diverse environment where you can really exercise your leadership skills for a small team of operatives and forklift drivers.

You will meet tight deadlines and this is no mean feat as it is directing consistently the incoming receipt of pallet loads from different suppliers. Your remit will be to oversee the receipt, sorting, holding, location planning of deliveries through to the repair operation on site.

The prime function is to organise and manage the Forklift driving teams using set KPI reporting to the plant Manager ensuring the highest levels of service delivery and meeting the company Health & Safety procedures. You will be supported by a fantastic team with full and ongoing training.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the day to day receipting of pallet loads from different suppliers.

* Reporting to the Site Manager on individual customer loads.

* Checking accuracy of receipt and processing of the loads by individuals against set KPI.

* Managing, in line with Company procedures, and directing a small number of operators and FLT drivers to ensure the yard runs smoothly and effectively.

* Maintain staff working environment ensuring full compliance to Health & Safety procedures.

* Ensure all MHE equipment checks completed, and reported.

* Maintaining a set stock of WIP

* Ensure a knowledge of supplier’s product.

Experience/Competencies Required

* Hold a current counterbalance FLT licence

* Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar busy manufacturing environment.

* Excellent attention to detail.

* Strong organisational ability and solution orientated

* Able to plan independently.

* Team Player

Attractive hours of work 07.00 – 16.00hrs Monday – Friday.
