Job Description: Have you recently Graduated or Graduating in the next few months and looking for your first position as a Building Surveyor? Are you looking for support through your APC and help with training?

I have various medium sized Chartered Surveyor's and Consultancy's throughout the UK looking for Graduate's specifically with a Building Surveying or closely elated degree.

Candidate requirements for successful application:

* > Recent Graduate (or Graduating before June 2020) with a good degree in Building Surveying; candidates with a closely related discipline degree will be considered with at least 6 months of experience in a Building Surveying role

* > Any experience within the surveying industry would be an advantage to your application

* > You must have a keen eye for detail and have excellent comminication skills

* > Able to work to tight deadlines

* > Full UK driving licence.

You must be able to work on your own initiative and manage your own workload.

For those with aspirations to become a Chartered Building Surveyor in the futrue, full APC training will be provided by firms accredited by the RICS.

Depending on company and location, benefits will generally include APC training, CPD, annual leave, pension....

Some of the main responsibilities as a Graduate Building Surveyor will include:

* > Assisting on a range of surveys on Commercial and / or Residential Property

* > Project Management and Contract Management - Assisting projects providing support to the senior Chartered Surveyors in the delivery of project management services

* > Building Design / CAD

* > Tendering

* > Assisting in Contract Administration

* > Supplier/ Product Research - Online research as required identifying / locating products, suppliers and specifications.

* > Corresponding with Clients - Communicating with clients and representing the company in a professional and diligent manner

* > Working as Part of the Building Surveying Team - Forming and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external colleagues. Reporting information to senior members as necessary.

* > A typical day will usually involve one or more visits outside of the office so you will need to be prepared to travel.

The successful candidate's will meet the following criteria:

* > Have a high level of IT Skills - Good knowledge of CAD is essential. Competency in Word, Excel and Outlook is also desirable

* > Self-Motivation and Initiative - Ability and motivation to work under own initiative

* > Problem Solving Abilities - A critical and analytical approach to work with the ability to identify potential problems and devise effective and economical solutions

* > Enthusiasm - Willingness to learn and help out with all areas of the business as required

* > Full Driving licence and own car is essential.

Salary for a Graduate receiving training will vary depending on location, company and your experience level and ability. Generally ranging from £18k up to £25 with no experience, £20k to £32k with experience.
