Job Description: Would you like to be part of one of the world’s most iconic entertainment venues, with an unrivalled history of events and performances from world-class artists.

My client is seeking an experienced and multi-skilled Building Services Technician, with a strong electrical maintenance background to support an historic and iconic building. The ideal candidate would also have a good understanding of providing electrical support and HVAC systems.

On a day-to-day basis, you will carry out daily plant room checks whilst helping to maintain the electrical services and support the maintenance of mechanical plant services. As part of the team, you will ensure they comply with safety regulations and are fit for use. Furthermore you will check that all domestic services (including the use of equipment and systems with water, electrics and gas) are in a good working order and that repairs or improvements are undertaken promptly to ensure uninterrupted services to our staff and customers.

Candidates must have a proven working knowledge of plant and domestic service systems and will have completed an appropriate apprenticeship with City and Guilds or similar, and have other relevant qualifications such as 18th edition. Candidates will be confident in reacting to Building Services M & E systems requirements which are generated from our helpdesk facility. We are looking for a credible and technically competent individual who can instil confidence in others, remain calm under pressure and fulfil the service delivery requirements of this fast-paced venue.

You will be working on a roster basis which will include day shifts, evenings, weekends and bank holidays therefore you will need to ensure you have access to transport to cover each of these shift patterns.

Duties will include the following: -

* Maintain all electrical installations, services and plant in a safe efficient manner, in accordance with current electrical regulations.

* Ensure all life safety installations are maintained and kept in a good working order, i.e. PA system, fire alarm, single &3 phase power, generators, secondary lighting; and to carry out first line response / repairs to these systems

* To maintain the heating, ventilation and air conditioning plant and systems ensuring that all air handling units, chillers, fan coil units are kept in good working order.

* Carry out any pipe work installations and repairs as requested ensuring that all work complies with current regulations.

* To carry out daily plant room checks, to monitor and check the Building Maintenance System (BMS) – Trend 963 and ensure that any malfunction or issues of concern are noted and acted upon, and reporting to senior colleagues as required.

Working hours: -

* The day shift start at 8:00am and finish at 4:00pm

* The evening shift starts at 3:00pm and finishes at 11:30pm

* Whichever shift you are on, you will be working a 40 hour week.
