Location: Corby

Salary: £9.50 per hour

Start: Monday 17th February for 2-4 weeks

Hours: Monday - Friday (Apply online only), 45 minutes for lunch

Our Corby-based client is looking for some temporary support within the Customer Service team, to cover holiday within their small team.

Key Tasks:

· Keying orders on for nominated accounts using Navision

· Key on manual orders from faxed / emailed and phone orders for all accounts

· Obtain delivery and collection bookings from the customer and pass on to the DC

· Liaise with distribution sites to optimise service levels

· Arrange and attend account meetings to discuss plans with Demand Planners and Key Account Managers

· Check and manage any promotional lines to ensure orders are monitored and verified

· Monitor and attempt to resolve any delivery issues relating to failed deliveries informing Logistics Manager of any repeat situations

· As part of ongoing process be able to highlight and report root cause of issues which affect the Service level

· Any changes to the short term production plan which will impact on the customer service level are communicated back to the customer in a timely manner

· In times of stock shortages review and report back to the business on any potential issues


· Understand how the supply chain works, from supplier through to customer

· How to communicate delicate issues on service level failures to a customer

· How to collate and manipulate data to construct and present any key trends and analysis

· Outward-facing customer contact within an FMCG environment

· Worked in a supply chain environment (orders, stock control)

· Highly motivated with a pro-active Can Do approach

· Able to work as part of a cross-functional team - sharing information and ideas

· Highly IT literate (Internet, Microsoft Office, Navision)

· An excellent communicator/negotiator, able to establish facts through active listening and to express information and ideas confidently and clearly

· Able to establish credibility with internal and external contacts

· Able to analyse and organise numerical data

· Able to travel with possible overnight stays as and when required

· Saturday/Sunday working to cover order taking along with bank holidays on a rota basis within the team
