Job Description: CATEGORY PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST - HERTFORDSHIRE - £40,000 - £45,000

A leading pharmaceutical organisation in the Hertfordshire, are currently recruiting for an experienced Category Procurement Specialist to join them on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a corporate services team, deploying the vision and plans of the procurement manager. As Category Procurement Specialist, your role will include providing support as and when necessary to the Procurement Manager. As the focal point for complex/category matters, you will ensure compliance with all regulations and government restrictions such as OJEU processes. You will be communicating with all key stakeholders, advising on process and supply markets, as well as analysing expenditure to ensure added value to the business.

Key experience required;

Minimum of 5 years purchasing experience and diverse category knowledge
A good understanding and experience of handling tenders and framework in line with the Public Sectors Regulations 2015 as amended.
Experience within a healthcare or other public sector organisation desirable
Proven & demonstrable general procurement and data handling skills within a similar environment or context.
CIPS Level 6, or be working towards this
Ability to provide strategic advice and guidance.
