Job Description: Contek are working with a reputable Injection Mould repair and service facility based in West Yorkshire.

They offer complex design changes to customers’ mould tools and fine tuning of imported moulds aswell as instant response to tool breakdown.

They are looking for an experienced CAD/CAM Programmer to join the team.

This is a flexible dayshift role: Mon-Thurs: 7:30-5:30pm and early finish on a Friday.

Duties:

- Programming using CAD CAM (Autodesk) or Similar packages. (Mainly office based role).

- Familiarity with Hurco CNC Mills.

- Managing day-to-day production activities, paying strict attention to production schedule and ensuring deadlines are met

- Producing Injection Mould components efficiently to the required standards, right first time

- Identifying and recommending manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality

- Develop and provide support to a CNC operator

- Ensuring aspects of machine shop such as tooling, work holding and planning are continually developed

- Stock control and material ordering

- Working with internal departments on production planning to ensure machined components fall within assembly production requirements

Required skills and knowledge:

- CAD CAM experience. Preferably Autodesk, however other experience will be considered

- Knowledge of Hurco WINMAX controls.

- Quoting machining time and component costing

- Experience with machining various materials.

- Experience using Injection Mould Tooling up to 15 Tonne.

- Good knowledge and proven track record with machining techniques

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

- Ability to work unsupervised within a small team

- Good communication in English (oral and written)
