Training 2000 is at the heart of the Lancashire economy, developing talent and training the next generation. We are growing and an exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Automotive Technical Trainer.

The role that we are recruiting for is part of our Automotive Commercial team and therefore, you will be joining a team of technical trainers who deliver on a wide range of commercial courses and have fantastic relationships with our customers.

We’re looking for an Automotive Technical Trainer that will deliver on a wide range of courses. For this role, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of commercial training courses and assessments. These will be both classroom and workshop based in our Automotive Centre in Blackburn and full training can be provided to the right candidate.

Our ideal candidate will have the industry experience to deliver across a number of our Automotive courses which include MET, VDA and/or Senior Panel Repair. Experience in body / panel repair or ADAS would also be an advantage.

For this role, we are looking for someone who holds an appropriate Automotive qualification and although not essential teaching experience or a teaching / assessing qualifications would also be an advantage.

In return, you will join a highly skilled team of Automotive trainers and a department that is being invested in for growth. You will have the opportunity to develop yourself alongside our other trainers and will join a team passionate about the future of Automotive.

Terms and Conditions:

For this role, you will receive a salary of £33,000 and a competitive benefits package. In addition, we believe in providing more than just salary and benefits and we’ll give you time and support to develop your career. Our Technical Trainers continually develop themselves and we’re in the process of developing a learning and development strategy with dedicated CPD days to ensure our whole workforce can continually enhance their career.

To give you an idea of our benefits, we firmly believe in having a good work life balance and therefore, they include 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays. This entitlement will increase with over time to 32 days and you are also able to purchase up to 5 days extra per year. In addition to this, from the day you join, you will receive life assurance whilst employed at 4 x your annual salary. Finally, with pensions being an important part of peoples career, following 6 months service you will be entitled to enrol into our Group Private Pension scheme where we will match contributions up to 5%.
