Job Description: Oakham Grange is a brand new care home opening in spring 2020 set in the heart of the community in Barleythorpe, Oakham. We will be bringing a fresher approach to residential nursing and support. Our core values of Compassion, Competence and Choice influence everything we do, and this makes us really stand out from the average care home environment.

If you are looking for a new challenge and want to be an integral part of a brand new service… please read on!

We are looking for an exceptional, experienced administrator whose values, behaviours and attitudes match our own. This is a varied role that enables us to create a strong foundation, and make our home a professional, safe, happy and comfortable place for our residents and their families.

The role is critical and key to the smooth running and success of the home, and for this reason we are searching for an independent, emotionally intelligent, capable person who shows initiative and commitment. You will need to have the ability to quickly absorb information, and to apply sound judgement when responding to queries.

With good all round IT skills, we require an in depth knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience of using a database or time and attendance system is essential. An excellent communicator, you will be expected to deal with enquiries from all levels of staff, the wider professional community, and our residents and their families.

You will also be responsible for two reception staff, ensuring they are trained to our high standards, arranging their rotas and you will provide strong line management support. It is vital that you and your team can show empathy both in person and over the phone, and have a warm, welcoming manner when meeting and greeting visitors.

You will also work closely with our sister home ensuring parity across the two sites.

At Oakham Grange we value our team and you will be encouraged to develop your skills further through our commitment to training and support, in return you will demonstrate an excellent work ethic.

Oakham Grange is committed to protecting and safeguarding vulnerable adults and successful applicants will be subject to the correct Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. We are committed to equal opportunities and welcome all applications
